This is what remains of the old "fever hospital" it stood derelict for years. It was always said to be haunted. When it was undergoing demolition in 1971 the contractors went on strike because of the strange happenings and ghost sightings at the place. It was featured on national TV at the time.

I personally saw about a hundred wild birds fall from the sky dead when I was playing there as a child.
